Great Article, Jane. As a Christian and Catholic mom who wants to be part of a Pro-Life Organization and no longer, I am afraid, with Girl Scouts. I never made it 6 months past Brownies as a child and I count that as a blessing. I have 5 years experience as a leader in the Boy Scout realm and I love it. I have 2 girls who love AHG here in Ohio and I love it too. The badges are relevant to the core values that I want my girls to emulate and be among like minded adults and girls of faith. The program is structured similar to the Boy Scouts and has the same mission. My husband is an Eagle Scout and as a father, is proud that we have taken a stand against the feminist agenda and dropped our girls out of Girl Scouts. It is quite a marketing blunder on the Girl Scouts end to be equal opportunity when it comes to safety and actively recruiting lesbians to be alone with girls as young as 12 at resident camp. I witnessed this first hand here in Ohio. What percentage of families are pro gay and have no problem with this angle, thoughtless it seems. It is too bad the higher ups within GSA ( a part of this small percentage of our population)have forgotten about the 90% of the Christian population. Membership is going down the tubes and no wonder! I have recruited 7 X Girl Scout leaders all with the same sad story! Wake up people! The AHG program is safe, fun and Christ centered and honors our Lord's wishes for our girls.
Blessed in Ohio!

All the more power to the Girl Scouts. Where there are pro-choice, pro-homosexuality, pro-girl power organizations there are people with the views that bigotry is not the answer...and those are exactly the people that should be helping to raise future generations.
