Worse than Cowardly

with 5 comments

Imagine your beautiful 18-year-old daughter in a life-and-death struggle with an ISIS fighter in Iraq.  It is kill or be killed.  She must depend on her own strength.   What are her chances for survival?  You know the answer to that.  A big fat zero.

Only a fool or a coward would send a young woman into direct ground combat where the mission is to seek out and kill the enemy.  It appears that the House Armed Services Committee has plenty of both. Read the rest of this entry »

What will Transgenders in the Military Cost America?

with 4 comments

There are many ways to take down this powerful country:

  • Pack the Supreme Court with ideologues who ignore the Constitution
  • Dumb down public education
  • Increase the size and scope of government
  • Put more people on the public dole
  • Put the government in charge of healthcare
  • Over regulate and over tax businesses and corporations driving them offshore or out of business
  • Demonize the productive members of society
  • Refuse an international leadership role
  • Go back on your word to foreign leaders
  • Strengthen the country out to destroy us
  • Weaken the military

Most of these things did not begin with Barack Obama, but there is little doubt that he has picked up the pace.  However, two events making the headlines this week should be enough to shake us awake from our political slumber: His bargain with Iran, which has empowered our sworn enemy and accelerated the arms race, and his decision on transgenders and the military. Why Women Are Easy Prey for Liberal Democrats

with one comment

With President Obama as welcome on the campaign trail as brownies at a meeting of Weight Watchers, and his policies as popular as Bach at a bowling alley, Democrats can be forgiven for rolling out the old “war on women” thing.  After all, it’s their ace in the hole, a proven winner when it comes to stirring up the electorate and getting out the vote.

“Those mean old Republicans want to take away your birth control, keep your wages below that of your male counterparts,” and did I hear, “deny your right to vote”?  Surely that must be in there somewhere.

Can’t blame them because they have been sewing these bad seeds for so long, it’s little wonder they are hoping that some still will bear fruit.

You really can’t blame women for falling for this gambit.  It’s not that women are dumb or that few take the time to research these charges that are thrown about like so much confetti before every election.  It’s just that most women are simply doing their best to survive in what is fast becoming a socialist, feminist utopia.

Obamacare’s Contraceptive Mandate (The dirty little Secret)

without comments

Democratic operatives and radical feminist groups have been hyperventilating since Monday’s  Supreme Court decision which allows Hobby Lobby to exclude some contraceptives from its insurance coverage.   It was much ado about nothing.  Burwell v. Hobby Lobby was a  small victory for common sense, but it was a narrowly written opinion that will have no effect on women’s health and little effect on Obamacare’s burdensome regulations.

Hobby Lobby already provides health care coverage to its employees, which includes 16 different types of contraceptives.  The Green family that owns Hobby Lobby only objected to the four birth control methods that are abortifacients:  morning after pills and IUD’s.  In addition to providing generous health care and dental coverage, the company offers a retirement savings plan, Sunday’s off and its base pay is almost twice the minimum wage.

That said, if a Hobby Lobby employee wants the morning after pill she can go to the local pharmacy and pay for it and still come out ahead of most women who are employed by similar retailers.  That why there will be no mass exodus of Hobby Lobby’s female employees.   Read the rest of this entry »

Republicans more Fun than Democrats

with 2 comments

In a recent New York magazine interview, Saturday Night Live boss Lorne Michaels revealed an interesting fact that gives us some insight as to why late night TV hosts are more likely to demean Republicans than Democrats.  “Republicans are easier for us than Democrats,” said Michaels.  “Democrats tend to take it personally; Republicans think it’s funny.”

In other words, Democrats have no sense of humor.  They take themselves much too seriously while Republicans can laugh at themselves. Read the rest of this entry »
