The ACORN and the Obama Tree

An ACORN doesn’t fall far from the tree so Obama — the big oak on whom the Democrats have pinned their hopes — is trying to kick it as far away as he possibly can.

Ties between Obama and ACORN – the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now – are legion. However, now that ACORN’s part in the sub prime mortgage mess has been exposed and the group’s voter registration programs have become an object of public scorn, the junior senator from Illinois is trying to throw ACORN overboard as he did his former pastor and a laundry list of other unseemly characters. Vote for Barack Obama

Vote for Barack Obama if . . . you want to pay higher taxes.

Obama is claiming that he will not raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000 per year. However, his plan will punish several hundred thousand small business and family farms that are not incorporated but pay the individual rate. Hey, Sarah: Time to go for the Kill!

The Defenders of Wildlife isn’t the only group gunning for Sarah Palin. The really big cannons will be fired following tonight’s vice-presidential debate and the media elite has its sights squarely on the head of the popular Alaska governor.

Any bobble, no matter how slight, will be in bold headlines tomorrow.

While the mainstream media is willing to overlook major gaffs from Joe Biden, the slightest hesitation from Palin is seen as proof positive that she is the empty-headed, backwoods bimbo from Wasilla it has tried to make her out to be. Read the rest of this entry »

The Big Questions for the debate likely will go unasked

The first of four debates in the run-up to the presidential election may or may not take place tonight at the University of Mississippi. If it does, don’t set your hopes too high. Judging from past debates, some of the most important questions may never be asked.

The first debate will center around foreign policy and national defense. Since no nation can be secure without a strong economy, host Jim Lehrer likely will bring economic issues into this debate.
