Drip, Drip, Drip: Conservatives slowing losing Marriage Debate

Conservatives are confident that Barack Obama’s support of gay marriage will cost him the election.  This may or may not be the case.  Polls show Americans to be evenly divided on this issue.  However, one thing is clear: While older voters are strongly opposed to these unions, younger voters strongly support them and the gap on this issue continues to close each and every year.

Conservatives are slowly losing the battle to protect marriage.  If we don’t change our tactics we will lose, not today or even tomorrow, but we will lose! Continue reading “Drip, Drip, Drip: Conservatives slowing losing Marriage Debate”

Why Romney can’t Connect

A neighbor recently asked me whom I was supporting for the GOP presidential nomination.  He was surprised that I hadn’t decided to support Mitt Romney. Frankly, I had a hard time explaining my indecision even though I have serious problems with the other candidates.

Gingrich, though a great idea man, blew it when he became Speaker of the House.  He squandered the Republican revolution he led and punished conservatives who stood by their principles. Then, there are his serial moral failings.

Ron Paul is right on economic and constitutional issues, but his positions on foreign policy scare me to death.

Santorum is a good man even though he often went along to get along with George W. Bush when Bush was increasing the size of government and spending us into oblivion.  My biggest problem with Santorum, however,  is that he has never run a business.   Continue reading “Why Romney can’t Connect”

Our Military Needs Your Help NOW!

The Obama Administration is seeking to use our military to advance its leftist social agenda.   It is up to the American people to stop this attack on our men and women in uniform.  There is no time to lose.

A bill is awaiting final floor action in the Senate that would scrap both the provision that has prevented open homosexuals from serving in the military and force military hospitals and military personnel to perform abortions, a process that many consider to be abhorrent. The Gospel According to Newsweek

Christians believe that the Bible is “God-breathed,” handed down, unchanged throughout the ages by the Creator himself.

Then, along comes Newsweek. In next week’s cover story, “Our Mutual Joy,” Lisa Miller advocates for gay marriage and tells us that God really didn’t mean all those explicit pronouncements against homosexuality in his holy Word. Continue reading “The Gospel According to Newsweek”

Lessons from California’s Battle to Protect Marriage

The battle to protect traditional marriage in California was the most expensive ballot measure in the nation decided in Tuesday’s election. “So goes California, goes the nation,” was the battle cry of activists on both sides as money poured into California from all 50 states to fight for and against the initiative that amends the state’s constitution and puts the definition of marriage out of reach of judicial activists. The Case against Same-Sex Marriage

In California, homosexual activists have pulled out all the stops to try to get the looney-tunes Supreme Court to remove a proposed constitutional amendment from the November ballot that would undo its recent ruling legalizing gay marriage.

These homosexuals contend that the initiative, if enacted, “would eviscerate the principle of equal citizenship for gay and lesbian people and strip the courts of their authority to enforce basic constitutional guarantees.” Nothing could be further from the truth. Why should the state protect marriage?

It was one of the most embarrassing moments on a cable news show. Fox’s Bill O’Reilly, invited family law attorney Ron Schweitzer on his program to talk about why a recent decision by the California Supreme Court, striking down a state law prohibiting same-sex marriage, should be overturned by a ballot initiative amending the state’s constitution.

During the course of the segment, O’Reilly pressed Schweitzer numerous times to give him one good reason, outside of religion, for opposing gay marriage. Schweitzer couldn’t come up with one. Continue reading “Why should the state protect marriage?”

Do You REALLY Support the Troops?

Two weeks ago, I wrote an article entitled  “Will the Military Cut and Run on the Homosexual Issue.”  It concerned flack over language in a 1996 policy document (reauthorized in 2003) that outlines retirement or other discharge policies for service members. The document, which was unearthed by a gay advocacy group, the Center for the Study of Sexual Minorities in the Military, listed homosexuality along with a group of mental disorders as reasons for discharge. The Center used this discovery to orchestrate a media campaign designed to browbeat those in charge of our military to reword the document in order to perpetuate the myth that homosexual activity is normal healthy behavior. Will the military “cut and run” on homosexual issue?

Is the military about to “cut and run” over the issue of allowing open homosexuals to serve in our Armed Forces? The answer is “yes.”More correctly, military leaders and those charged with the oversight of the military are about to cut and run.

When it comes to dealing with controversial issues, the men behind the military’s Oz-like “curtain” are not men at all but scared little boys and girls when it comes to standing up to narrow, vocal special-interest groups – especially those that are the darlings of the mainstream media. Gay Pride at George Bush’s EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency is a polluter’s worst nightmare. If there is a toxic waste dump, the EPA is on it like grease on a mechanic. If there is a noxious emission, the EPA gets its nose out of joint faster than ice melts at the equator.

Now, it seems, the agency itself needs a cleanup of sorts. Thanks to some sleuthing at the American Family Association and Concerned Women for America’s Culture & Family Institute, we know that this agency is doing a little polluting of its own by celebrating Gay Pride Month.

Six years into the Bush Administration, your tax dollars are still being used to promote behaviors that many understand to be immoral and profoundly unhealthy. Continue reading “Gay Pride at George Bush’s EPA”
