Illegal Immigration Problem: A Four-legged Stool

Our  nation’s problem with illegal immigration can be compared to a four-legged stool.  If one of those legs is cut off or wobbly, it isn’t going to stand, at least for very long.

While some of our presidential candidates have address two or three of those legs, unfortunately none have address all four.  I’m waiting!

The first leg is obvious:  Seal the border.  Almost all candidates have vowed to do that in one way or another.  We are the most powerful nation on earth, though not likely to remain so if the present administration’s policies are not reversed and quickly.  We need to put all our available resources on the southern border while a wall is being built and we need to stop tying the hands of our border patrol agents.   However, we must not neglect our northern border. The use of drone technology and electronic surveillance should be used to maximize the effectiveness of our personal there.   Continue reading “Illegal Immigration Problem: A Four-legged Stool”

Before You Cast Your First Stone (At Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis)

The PC police, who seem hellbent on forcing all people to accept gay marriage after the  controversial Supreme Court Obergefell decision, suffered a setback when activist federal judge David Bunning released Kim Davis from a Kentucky jail.  Davis, a county clerk, spent five days behind bars after refusing to have marriage licenses to same-sex couples go out under her name, which would, in effect,  be condoning a practice that violates her religious beliefs.

Judge Bunning simply could have slapped Kim Davis with a fine but, no, this activist liberal judge chose to throw her in jail until she complied with his wishes.  Tuesday, Bunning backed down, bowing to pressure after denying Davis her due process and her rights under the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.   Continue reading “Before You Cast Your First Stone (At Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis)”

Planned Parenthood: The Most Evil Organization in America

It was a spring day in 1983, but I remember it as though it were yesterday.  I was in New York to interview Dr. Bernard Nathanson for the documentary “A Matter of Choice” at his medical office in Manhattan.

This modest brownstone was quite a comedown from the days when he ran the Center for Reproductive and Sexual Health, which, at the time, was the largest free standing abortion provider in the world.  New York legalized abortion a full three years before Roe v. Wade providing Nathanson and many of his medical colleagues an opportunity to make a killing, so to speak.  CRASH, as it was called, operated around the clock, 24-hours a day.

Nathanson also was one of the founders of the National Assoication for the Repeal of Abortion Laws which, after Roe, became the National Abortion Rights Action League.  Then, he got a grant to study fetology and his life took a dramatic turn.  Continue reading “Planned Parenthood: The Most Evil Organization in America”

“Anchor Baby” IS Offensive — to U.S. Taxpayers

Love him or hate him, Donald Trump has brought up another serious problem that is taking our country down, one that is pressing but has been ignored by the political ruling class:  birthright citizenship.

Many of Trump’s opponents in the race for the GOP presidential nomination have tried to sidestep the issue.  Instead of viewing it as a political minefield, they should simply address it head-on.

Forget political correctness!  The term “anchor baby” is descriptive of hundreds of thousands of children who are born to mothers who come here, legally and illegally, for the soul purpose of having a child in the United States which will give them an “anchor” into this country.  It allows those with means to bypass the normal, lengthly immigration process and allows those without means, the ability to stay here indefinitely and tap into our generous welfare benefits, even those who have broken in to our country illegally.   The more babies, the more taxpayer dollars that flow to these families.

This not only is unfair to the millions of immigrants who have stood in line and played by the rules, it is especially unfair to U.S. taxpayers.   Continue reading ““Anchor Baby” IS Offensive — to U.S. Taxpayers”

Hillary Clinton: Too Big to Jail?

The American people are still smarting over the federal bailout of financial institutions that were largely responsible for the 2007 financial crisis, simply because they were deemed to be “too big to fail.”

Now, just eight years later, there is a new crisis at the very center of our government where the guilty party could skate by with a simple slap on the wrist simply because she may be deemed “too big to jail.”

We now know that Hillary Clinton lied, or more charitably, misspoke, when she told us empathetically that she did not send or receive any classified information on her personal email server which was kept at her home in Chappaqua, New York, while serving as secretary of state.   This is incredulous since we also know that she used this private server exclusively instead of the secure server at the State Department during her time there. Trump’s Biggest Deal

(2008 Clinton Campaign ad)

It’s 3 A.M., and your children are safe and asleep but there’s a phone and  it’s ringing in the White House . . .

(Implication:  Whom do you want to answer?)

In 2017, if Hillary Clinton is in the White House, she will pick up the phone when it’s from Donald Trump.  She will owe him, big time, and she likely will do whatever he asks.

If Donald Trump runs as a third party candidate, the man who brags about owning politicians will own this president of the United States because he will have put her there.   If he plays his cards right, he could become the richest man in the world at our expense.  Currently on the Forbes 500, Trump is 405th.  Continue reading “Trump’s Biggest Deal”

Who’s Lying in the Senate?

On Friday, Ted Cruz created quite a stir went he broke protocol on the Senate floor and accused Mitch McConnell of lying.

If that is true, and it appears it is, we now know that the majority leader has a lot of company.  I will offer proof that all of the Democrats and about half of the Republicans are guilty of the same thing.

Have your senators talked about how they want to rein in corporate welfare and cut out all unnecessary spending?  Of course they have!  A procedural vote to allow the highway bill to move forward with an amendment that would reauthorize a little-known government agency, the Export-Import Bank, proves it.  http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=114&session=1&vote=00254

It also proves that there are far more Democrats infected with corporate greed than Republicans, but unfortunately the GOP Senate leader is among them.  McConnell made a big show of voting against allowing the amendment to advance.  However, he is the one who orchestrated the vote. His corporate donors got the message.  It’s hypocritical!

If you don’t know if your senators should be retained or not, this vote should make it abundantly clear.  McConnell, and every senator who voted “yea” is cheating on us.   They are robbing taxpayers to pay off their corporate cronies.

If you are not familiar with the Ex-Im Bank, you should be.  It’s Exhibit Number One when it comes to government waste. Continue reading “Who’s Lying in the Senate?”

Outrageous Comments (Who’s Holding the Darlings of the Left Accountable?

Okay, “The Donald” put his foot in his mouth again over the weekend at the Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa.   No one who has been watching him for very long was surprised.  When Trump attacked John McCain and said “He was a war hero because he was captured.”  He then added insult to injury by saying, “Personally, I like people who weren’t captured.” The words were barely out of his mouth before he corrected himself, but it was too late.  The sound bite was out there.  His critics pounced.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Donald Trump has not demonstrated that he has the temperament to be president.   When you put a man or woman in the Oval Office who has the black box with the codes to set off a nuclear weapon within arm’s reach, you want someone who has learned to control his or her emotions.     Continue reading “Outrageous Comments (Who’s Holding the Darlings of the Left Accountable?”

What will Transgenders in the Military Cost America?

There are many ways to take down this powerful country:

  • Pack the Supreme Court with ideologues who ignore the Constitution
  • Dumb down public education
  • Increase the size and scope of government
  • Put more people on the public dole
  • Put the government in charge of healthcare
  • Over regulate and over tax businesses and corporations driving them offshore or out of business
  • Demonize the productive members of society
  • Refuse an international leadership role
  • Go back on your word to foreign leaders
  • Strengthen the country out to destroy us
  • Weaken the military

Most of these things did not begin with Barack Obama, but there is little doubt that he has picked up the pace.  However, two events making the headlines this week should be enough to shake us awake from our political slumber: His bargain with Iran, which has empowered our sworn enemy and accelerated the arms race, and his decision on transgenders and the military. Why Donald Trump’s Star Is Rising (He’s Our Bernie Sanders)

Some are baffled that Donald Trump has ridden a sea of controversy to the top of the polls of GOP presidential candidates.

The same head-scratching is going on in Democrat circles over the irascible Bernie Sanders who is now within striking distance of their crown princess, Hillary Clinton.  How could this aging socialist threaten the planned coordination of their queen?

These two men are as far apart on the political spectrum as any two candidates can be, but they do have one thing in common:  bad hair.  Is America really yearning for a fright wig or a comb-over?

That’s not it. Continue reading “Why Donald Trump’s Star Is Rising (He’s Our Bernie Sanders)”
