Why Expect Mexico to Save Us? (We must Save Ourselves)

It is laughable to suggest that Mexico should be the one to stop the caravans of migrant gatecrashers headed to the U.S. when we seem powerless to stop them ourselves.  Get Serious!  Mexico can’t seem to fix the potholes on the sidewalks of its major cities.  Why should we expect this country to defend us?

It would be nice but it is a pipe dream, nothing more.

Cooperation is another story.  We should expect, no insist, that Mexico cooperate with us as we attempt to corral these people and send them back to their countries of origin.  The same cooperation should come from the other Central American countries that receive American largess.   However, we should not expect any of these countries to do something we aren’t willing to do for ourselves.  They simply do not have the manpower or resources that we do. The Self-Destruction of the Self-Righteous

It is rare to see three overrated, self-righteous, liberal divas fall from their vaulted platforms in the same week but in a short 36-hour span, Sunday morning to Monday afternoon, we witnessed such a trifecta.

I’ll take the easy one first:  Stormy Daniels suing for defamation is a little like a skunk complaining of a bad smell.  Seriously, how can someone defame this “porn star”?  Her reputation was already in the toilet.  Furthermore, calling someone who has explicit sex in front of a camera for money a “star” is defaming the celestial lights in the heavens.

The media also should be called out for continually referring to her alleged sexual encounter with Donald Trump 12 years ago as an “affair.”  By her own account there was only one illicit meeting between the two.   A one-off tryst lasting no more than a couple of hours is really stretching it.    Continue reading “The Self-Destruction of the Self-Righteous” →

Look Who is Racist Now

Many years ago I discovered a dirty little secret about left-wing ideologues in the Democratic Party.  Yes, I know these terms are largely redundant.  The few remaining Democrats who don’t fit that description are either political neophytes or hopeless optimists.    They still believe the party line about protecting the poor and working class.

The dirty little secret is that when liberals don’t have an argument they can sell, rather than discuss policy, they call you names.  “Racist” and “sexist” are two of the most overused.

Now, after the Kavanaugh debacle, they have been exposed.  The liberals, who vowed to defeat this brilliant jurist no matter what the cost, have turned that argument back on themselves.  They wanted — and still want — to convict Kavanaugh of sexual assault with no evidence simply because he is a white male.   Continue reading “Look Who is Racist Now” →

Federal Workers vs Private Sector (Taxpayers Get the Shaft)

In my “Crazytown” column, I celebrated Trump’s most recent accomplishments.  These are things other presidents should have done, but most didn’t.  They just kept making the same old mistakes, hoping for different results.

One of the president’s recent moves was to cancel the scheduled pay raise for federal civilian employees.  When I pointed out that recent studies have shown that federal workers, on average, are paid 80 percent more that their counterparts in the private sector, some took exception.

President Obama also recognized this disparity and instituted a partial federal wage freeze between 2011 – 2013.

More “Crazytown” Please!

According, to Washington’s messiah, Bob Woodward, one of President’s Trump’s aides (allegedly Chief of Staff John Kelly) described the White House as “crazytown.”   That was proof positive to Trump’s detractors in Congress that his cabinet and/or Congress should take the steps necessary to remove him from office.

But wait!  Stop the presses!  The inter-workings of Congress have been described — more times than I can count — as “herding cats.”    What could be crazier than that?    That should be reason enough to impeach the entire Congress.  Do the country a great service and get rid of all those career politicians, most of whom have never held a real job, in one fell swoop.    What a relief that would be!

McCain’s Funeral Punchback

It is considered disrespectful to say anything bad about someone who is deceased.  However, when the deceased punches back at an enemy from the dead, all bets are off.

We know that Senator McCain spent months planning every detail of his extended farewell and funeral services.  These events were of the kind and duration normally reserved for heads-of-state.   However, I would hope that the decision that was made to disinvite President Trump and Sarah Palin came from his family and not the senator himself.

McCain professed to be a Christian.  Only the good Lord knows the truth of one’s conviction.  It is not for me to judge.  However, Jesus commanded us to forgive one another.  In fact, the prayer that He taught us to pray says, “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” We are to “love our enemies.”   Any sincere Christain knows that is not only difficult, it is next to impossible without the Lord’ help.  It is something that I have struggled with, perhaps more than any other of His precepts.

With that in mind, I can only hope that if the senator really meant to strike out at his enemies from the grave, that desire passed before he went to his eternal resting place.   Continue reading “McCain’s Funeral Punchback” →

Senate Punts on Defunding Planned Parenthood, Again

Last week  Sen. Ron Paul (D-Ken) succeeded in getting a vote on defunding Planned Parenthood and, in doing so, exposed his party’s hypocrisy on two important issues:  protecting life  and ending deficit spending.

Planned Parenthood is arguably one of the most evil organizations in America.  Thanks to the efforts of undercover journalists this organization was caught red-handed trying to sell the body parts of little aborted babies, which is illegal.  http://www.centerformedicalprogress.org/cmp/investigative-footage/

However, to date, Planned Parenthood has managed to escape prosecution, claiming the charges only covered doctors’ fees and transportation, despite what was said on these nauseating videos.  Meanwhile,  the filmmakers involved in the investigation are still fighting off lawsuits.

The outrage is compounded by the fact that Congress has been giving this fat-cat, highly political organization a half billion of our hard-earned tax dollars each year.   With the Republican Party — the party that has pledged to protect life — in control, reasonable people who put all these lawmakers in office expected this to end.   Continue reading “Senate Punts on Defunding Planned Parenthood, Again” →

Supreme Court Go-Round

Radical leftist groups are tying themselves in knots again.  They want freedom of expression, yet they seek to silence any speech, be it written, televised, or spoken, with which they do not agree.

Leftist groups want to be free to demonstrate on behalf of their causes.  Yet they confront demonstrators with whom they disagree with threats and even physical violence.   Leftist groups claim they want everyone to be free to do anything he, she or the “unassigned,” wish to do or not do.  However, they are intent on beating up on Jack Phillips, the baker in Lakewood, Colorado, who was the victor in the Supreme Court case Masterpiece Bakeshop vs. Colorado Civil Rights Commission handed down on June 4, 2018.

In case you have been living under a rock and may be unfamiliar with this case,  Phillips, a deeply religious Christian man, refused to create a cake especially for a gay wedding.   However,  he offered to sell the couple any cake that was readily available in his shop.  In short, he did not discriminate, by refusing to serve the couple, he simply refused to create something that violated his core beliefs. Poor, Pitiful Omarosa

Quick: What is the Office of Public Liaison in the White House?   Chances are you’d never even heard of it before the drama queen; poor, pitiful Omarosa Manigault-Newman; got fired?

Still mystified as to what it does?  More than likely.

So just how important was this special assistant to the president who was the communications director for that office?

Not very.  That’s why the position remains unfilled even though poor, pitiful Omarosa was fired a full eight months ago.

For the record, this office was created to help the White House reach out to various special interest groups.  It arranges tours, staff briefings and other little perks to curry favor with the heads of these organizations in order to make them feel important and urge their various members to support the president’s agenda (my definition not the official one) by leaning on their representatives in Congress and by drumming up support among the general public.

It’s the closest thing to a political arm.  However it’s all legal and above-board and has been around since Gerald Ford made it an official part of the White House in 1976.

How the U.S. Ruined South Africa (What the Mainstream Media Won’t Report)

The United States, the leader of the free world, a proponent of freedom and democracy, almost signal-handedly pushed South Africa into what is becoming a communist failed state.  Sure, we had help from other do-gooder countries who ganged up on this once jewel of the African continent, in the 1990’s.  However, it never would have happened if we hadn’t led the charge.

It should be no surprise that President Cyril Ramaphosa recently confirmed that his government plans to expropriate private property without compensation.  For the uninitiated this means taking the farms of white landowners and supposedly redistributing them to the black majority in the name of “fairness.”  This will hasten the country’s economic slide that began shortly after the “universal” elections of 2004, that transferred power to the communist-led African National Congress.
